Anybody looking to stay at home for a holiday, I booked a caravan in Cleethorpes for a week in July for 6 of us. It was the highest standard caravan with 3 bedrooms, microwave, DVD player and flat screen telly. The place has an outdoor pool with flumes and an indoor pool. A nine hole golf course and parks for the wee ones. Entertainment for the kids day and night. Nearby there is a small theme park and loads of seaside places. So lots to do.

Total cost for 6 was £360. Its a Haven park and you had to pay in full by the end of the month (I am not 100% sure of the date)

Not Florida but in these times its still a holiday.:agree:

Is that from the Haven site Jill ?
I just checked for it but the cheapest i can find is £600 for the week.
We are looking at a budget holiday this year as we have a baby due in June and money will be tight.

Edit : Wow , just checked for July instead and it available from £287. That cant be right ?

I take it that's Thorpe Park? We were there a few years back, one of the better Haven parks IIRC. Been down to Lincolnshire a few times, Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe and Skegness. If you go into a market town called Louth dont take any Scottish notes with you, you might find great difficulty in getting rid of them.

Last year we went to Butlins in Skegness for the first time as a family. The kids loved it so have booked up again for this summer. Gold Apartment and Half Board. It is better to book the highest standard accommodation if you can, the caravans/apartments are far more comfortable and roomier. :agree:

Yep - if you go before the english schools break up its cheap and also cheaper if you take a higher standard caravan, I thought they were maybe keeping the cheaper ones for the Sun token holidays. There are loads of parks but my kids fancied the Thorpe park one because of the swimming pool. Not too far to travel either.
