According to today's Scotsman, the slavering alcoblob is definitely a candidate for Rector in the forthcoming University elections.

As a University employee, I urge all Hibbies who are students or staff to cast their vote to ensure this globular gob***** isn't allowed anywhere near the job. Voting is online via MyEd from 0900 11th February to 1900 on the 12th February.

Spread the word! Save your Uni from becoming totally Foulked!

Thanks for the tip! I'll make sure I get on there and go for the 'anyone but him' option.

Where would he find the time to do the position justice between being a full time MSP, a sitting peer in the House of Lords, and a crap opinion-piece journalist?

Totally unnecessary!

I'm sure all good Hibbies already know it is their duty without the need for a reminder

The thing is it's not even anything to do with the fact he's a jambo. He's just and idiotic slavering gob *****e and a terrible politician.

Wouldn't trust him as far as i could throw him and since he's fat that's not very far!!:grr::grr:

My vote is going to anyone who isn't Foulkes!

Jesus god no!!! What the hell are the credentials to get into the running for such a prestigious post??? Who the HELL let that slavering cock get anywhere near the post of Rector of Edinburgh University??

That said, was John Colquhoun not Rector a while back???

The mind truly boggles :jamboak::grr:

To be fair, he seems like the lesser of three evils to me. And if you knew the President of the studnts association like i do (he's supporting mcwhirter) you would definitely not want him to win!

Hence, between the george's, the lesser evil is, i'm afraid, fatty!

It's not like he's running for the principality of the University!

Rector is a token role - someone who can build up a good media/public relations and enhance the reputation of the University via organising various events and being a point source for interviews etc.

We've had Stephen Fry, Fred McCauley and Lorraine Kelly in recent years at Dundee :agree:

The 3 you mention sound like excellent choices to fill the role as highlighted.

Have you read Fatty Foulkes and his slaverings in the press?? I'll be amazed if that builds up "good media/public relations" :bitchy:

i work for my student association executive so there's a good chance that if Foulkes wins i'll have to meet him at a few events... mind you the guy in the office next to me is a total jambo so he'll be loving it.

macwirter would be a good chocie wouldnt he? not a bad journalist

All I know about mcwhirter is that our president is dupporting him and we have had a guy who is good mate's with our president the last three years.

This has resulted in us having a useless former MSP as rector and a VERY controversial presidential election.

As a result, fatty is the lesser evil I'm afraid!
