I'm watching the BBC coverage and Leon jackson seems to be the main vocalist doing all his turns.

I'm sorry but this guy is nothing more than a karaoke singer. I know he's only 19 but that's not the point. One thing you expect from the national coverage is the best in scottish music. What's wrong with some real vocalists like Roddy Woomble?

No personality, no soul, no nothing.

There's some real Motown soul on Jools just now. They chose talent over celebrity.

Had he been in this years competition he would have struggled to get into the live shows.

I can never understand why people vote in these competitions for people just cause of where they come from. Surely you should vote for whoever is best (stop calling me Shirley :wink:)

Do you really think the Scottish vote won it then? What about the Welsh voting for Rhydian?

I think it was more to do with the fact the Rhydian came across as a total weirdo that swung it Leon's way

It suprises me that anyone watches these shows never mind those who actually spend money voting thinking it will make a difference.

Completely agree; his "rendition" of Auld Lang Syne was as apalling as it was embarassing. Heard better up the club on a Saturday night.

never saw it, but i agree regard's roddy and/or idlewild. Phenominal scottish band, and proud of it. Massive fan of both the band and Roddy's solo stuff.
