SCOTTISH Olympic champion Chris Hoy is honoured with a knighthood in the New Year Honours List today – and his mother is made an MBE for her own achievements.

Well done to the lad but come on the Hounours list is a joke.

A Knighthood for winning bicycle races.

Sorry but the honours list should be scrapped as it is at the moment.

We are not an Empire anymore so its time these awards were scrapped.
