Delayed post

Is anyone else experiencing a delay in getting items ordered from the net?
Play claim they sent the item on 2nd Dec but I haven't got it and seeing it is for Xmas I am now a bit worried. Play say I need to wait 21 days before they can issue a refund or replacement but that is no use to me as 23rd Dec would be too late!!
Anyway anyone else in Tranent or East Lothian having missing/delayed post problems?

I ordered 5 things from Play last week,have them all even though they were sent in seperate parcels. I know my Mum sent some cards to my sister(Edin - Livi) and they took 5 days to get there!!

I ordered stuff last Monday night from play then 1 extra thing on Friday. The friday thing came yesterday and the things from last monday came today. Seems totally messed up

My Gran sent us all Christmas cards (Me, Bro, and sis Danderhall-Bonnyrigg) And mine came the next day. My Brother and sister have been waiting 3 days so far :bitchy:.

I keep trying to persuade them that she just doesn't like them! :wink:

I ordered a lot of stuff from play a week past monday and according to my account none of it has even been sent out! I have to wait until next week before they investigate.

I had 3 parcels all go missing at the end of Oct into the beginning of Nov. The companies all sent out replacements and 6 parcels all arrived on the same day!! Scotts Match of the Day magazine never arrives on a tuesday, its always thur or Fri and a complaint to the post office has seen no change.

I have had a bit of trouble from play and amazon in the past, however they sorted it and now anything i order seems to come within a few days.

My Football Manager never came last month, I had to get refunded.

You know it goes on mate, how many people in your office have been punted in the past for thieving, I know when I was in the PO more than a few in my office were convicted of theft. :agree:

I'm going to phone Play today as my order has not even been processed and it will be two weeks on monday - so much for their monday sales eh? If I get no joy I can at least still cancel the order. :brickwall

Mum and dad both worked in sorting offices but I suppose since my order hasn't even been processed I cant blame the posties for a change eh :greengrin

Phoned Play and was told that I had given them wrong details on my debit card so the order was not processed. I asked why I was not notified that my card hadn't gone through but was told it wasn't policy, my order has been lying dormant for nearly a fortnight! Changed my card details online and my order is now being processed - how bad is that!

I bought a PS3 from Play.com earlier this year and it was the most hassle I've ever went through to buy something online! Don't get me wrong, it arrived in good time but I had to phone them twice at their request to a get Spanish Inquisition style grilling, plus then had to send them a copy of a recent bank statement (took my details off of course).

Amazon have been moider recently for delivery times though - 2 weeks for a couple of things I've ordered.

Preordered Hellboy 2 on Blu Ray from HMV (out on Monday there) and it arrived yesterday - kinda defeats the purpose of preordering really!!!

Just off the phone to Play and explained that on their site it says leave 5-7 for posting as it's Xmas. It's now 10 days since they posted it and say to wait 21 days, aye good one it's an Xmas present for my son. 23rd Dec to call them and say it hasn't arrived chances of getting another to me in 2 days those days including Xmas Eve and Xmas Day what a joke. I told the guy if it isn't here by middle of next week then I'm off to Argos/Game/HMV to buy a replacement and they can refund me. He has agreed to that.

PS if a postie has nicked it and reads this... gies it ya thieving get, you might just have spoiled a 5 year old Hibees Xmas :boo hoo: thanks a lot
