Or if there's no such things as coin-operated laundrettes any more, or if there's none in Dalkeith, what's the next best thing in the area? (For washing and drying a whole big load of sheets'n'duvet covers'n'pillowcases'n'that.)

Thats actually in Mayfield, not Dalkeith. Don't think there is one in Dalkeith.
