Good Start! :greengrin
Won the toss and decided to field......and conceded 387 runs. I wonder if KP knew what he was getting himself into?:greengrin

I saw the highlights of Indias innings this morning before I left for work, the ball was flying out the ground in all directions!
Cricket is about the only sport I'm not fussed about England winning at, but, I nearly found it as amusing as The Stanford Final! :greengrin

That was a serious tonking and they can expect 6 more. And another two in the test matches.
Shame :greengrin

Ian Botham was in the papers last week saying England will win the Ashes "easily" next year. One of the BBC correspondents also said that England could start as favourites. Now, there is no denying that the post Warne, McGrath, Langer, Gilchrist Australia is nowhere near as intimidating as they were and there is no doubt that next years series will be a lot closer that the 5-0 gubbing last time BUT....its time for the a little reality check for some of the English Cricket press.:agree:

Will there be a 7-0 on the cards or will India take their foot off the gas when they get to 4-0, like they did on 2006.

This is getting ****ing embarrassing.
I didn't think I could hate Kevin Pieterson (and all the other corporatised wannabe footballers) any more than I did before this series but I do.

271 required to make it 5-0. The commentators seem reasonably confident.
Let's see :greengrin

161/3 with two new batsmen at the crease. Need 110 off 138 balls. Easy!:greengrin

roughly 70 runs from 17 overs looks like a walk in the park.
Love this from the BBC:
49th over: Eng 262-4
KP sweeps for two, Shah mis-hits for one. KP sweeps for one more to bring up the 100 partnership off 109 balls. Shah crashes one through the leg side, and that's going for four and - ouch. The ball flicks up off the boundary rope and slams the ball-boy bang on the snout. He reels away in pain and falls to the ground, clutching his bleeding beak. The televison company re-shows the incident five times in slow motion.

The last two ODI's have been cancelled - BBC SPORT (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/7751756.stm)
Is this for the safety of the players or for the reputation of the visitors? :greengrin

Reputation of the visitors! Or, well, what's left of it (which isn't much I'd suspect)
And the safety of the ball-boys. :cool2:
