what time are they expecting his fight to start at?

how do folks think it'll go? from speaking to mates that know more about boxing than i do, the general concensus is it'll go the distance, probably with calzaghe winning.

I think Calzaghe will take him before the 12th, Jnr is not even a shadow of his former self...

But...

...Last fight? Unbeaten ever? I can see the fairytale coming to an end as well. Sods law.

Fight should start about 3-4.

Personally think it will be a Calzaghe win on points in a tight decision. The consensus amongst some is Jones' legs have gone, if this is the case Calzaghe has to dominate the ring and dictate the fight. If he lets Jones run away, defend and counter he could lose on points. If Jones' legs and chin have gone calzaghe could do a number on him provided he dominates the ring and dictates the pace from the start as he did against Lacy and Kessler. Calzaghe can't afford to be as poor as he was against Hopkins or Manfredo.

think calzaghe struggled to make the weight did he not, could that not be a bit of a leveller?

any idea what time the fights due to start?

I don't think it will be as late as 3 or 4. Remember it's in New York (Normally minus 5 hours but they haven't changed their clocks yet so only -4), so I reckon 1 or 2. Calzaghe on Points:agree:.

What a time for it to start! Got to the pub at 3pm NZ time and it was nearer 6pm when it came on!! :grr:

As for the fight, first 3 rounds were great, then it just got a bit boring, mainly due to Roy Jones doing diddly squat for about 10 rounds of the fight!

Wish I'd listened to everyone saying it was 4 as I started watching from 12:brickwall.

The build up was crap aswell. Wish I'd had a sleep and woke up at 4

I was at a house aprty after yesterdays match and fell asleep on the settee when I got home just after midnight.

Woke up 04.36 just as Jones Jnr had made his entrance.

I thought Jones power would be too much for Calzaghe and it looked like it should have been.

Top marks to Jones Jnr for continuing with such a bad cut but he was never really at the races was he?

I just can't see Calzaghe retiring now - a big final in Cardiff must be on but his likely plans to have a return with JOnes Jnr must be gone as he was so far behind.

I'd certainly go down to see him fight Hopkins again though...:cool2:

Calzaghe was phenomenal. Nothing left to achieve, should retire now at the very top. A true legend and a credit to a sport whihc is not short of a few erseholes.

Unfortunately my Sky Plus box didn't record the fight properly so I only got the first 4 rounds or so, but Calzaghe looked miles better even then, and that's despite being put on his erse in the first round.

I was very disappointed in the other guy to be honest.
