As it says on the tin.

Concert at the Armadillo may finish 11pm. Last train back to civilisation leaves Queen St at 11.30pm. Sensible to expect to catch that train or not?

Not leaving the concert early as no true Hibby ever leaves anything early.

I doubt it will finish as late as 11.00 tbh.

However, I wouldn't want to rely on getting to Queen Street in 30 minutes, if it does.

It's about a 2 mile walk, if you don't get lost. Getting out of the place will take about 10 mins so basically, unless you can run two 7 minute miles, you've nae chance.

There are always big queues for taxis so count that out too.

Bad news, huh?

However, there is some good news. If you go to Buchanan Street, you'll be able to catch the bus home at midnight. It's only £8.40 return.

Get the train from exhibition centre station (right next to the armadillo) to Glasgow Central- it takes 3 minutes and then walk to queen street from there. Train at 23.02 and 23.13. Its then only 5 min walk to queen street from central

Having been a few events at the SECC i would say the bus is your best option. The last bus is at about midnight, its cheaper than the train and if too many folk turn up they will put on another bus.

Thanks guys. I've slowed to walking 8-minute miles now, and even the clockwork orange option would be a wee bit tight if the show really does finish as late as 11 (might do, it's a long show). In addition, do not want to be in anything orange on the same night that 60,000 of the greatest fans in the world are wandering around the weedge after their team has just been pumped senseless. So the four of us may end up taking a car. But very useful to know about the midnightish bus from Buchanan St - hadn't thought of that.
