Does anyone else get spam messages from socal_tools almost every day? It's really annoying.

Is there any way for me to stop them without blocking everything from eBay?

The sender shown as "eBay [[email protected]]".

Can I just add that to my spam filter?

Have you bought from them before? You might have them set as a 'favourite seller'. If so, you can edit the preferences to stop sending mail or delete the seller from your list altogether.

Go to my eBay > Saved sellers. There's a drop-down menu along from their name where you can edit preferences.

It's definitely phishing.

It always asks, "hello, what is the last price for this item? socal_tools".

I'm not selling anything.

Seems that socal_tools was a legitimate seller but their name was hijacked so they changed their name.

"We changed our ebay ID from socal_tools to socal_tools_inc. We have received many emails asking us to stop sending them phishing emails. We have sent none. To get rid of any confusion, we have changed our ebay ID.

Thanks for your interest and good luck in the auctions.
