The £ has gone through the floor against the dollar and Euro in the last few weeks.

We were getting $2.00 for a pound, now it's $1.50 and no sign of it slowing its descent.

On the other hand, I was in SA in September and was getting about Rand 14 to the pound. It was cheap as chips to eat and drink.

Now, the commercial rate is Rand 17!

Get a cheap flight and go!

It depends what you mean by cheap.

I just had a quick look on Netflights.com. There are flight from Glasgow via Amsterdam for £544.

That's cheap for travelling half way round the world.

I fly Edinburgh to Leeds regularly. It costs nearly £400!
