Andy Murray is in Russia this week trying to defend the trophy he won last year. He beat Viktor Troicki yesterday which set up a last 16 meeting with Latvian Ernests Gulbis today. Murray hammered the 20 year old 6-4 6-2 and will now play Serbian Janko Tipsarevic in the 1/4 finals.
Murray actually has a losing head-to-head against Tipsarevic. They have met three times and the Serbian leads 2-1. Their last meeting was just over a year ago at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow when Tipsarevic won 6-4 7-5.

I don't think so, although some channel (maybe Eurosport) might show it just because Murray's in it.
By the way, Andy Murray reached another final as he destroyed Fernando Verdasco in today's semi final. Murray won 6-0 6-3 and will now play Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan in tomorrow's final.

Golubev has knocked some decent opponents out on his way to the final, I suppose a bit like Simon did last week.
Murray in straight sets for me.

In under an hour :agree:
That's title number 5 for him  Don't fancy his chances in Paris- has a tough draw, but the Masters Finale is in the bag :greengrin

Excellent victory for Murray, although I expected him to beat Golubev.
Onto Paris now and with Murray being a seed he receives a bye into round two where he will play either Sam Querrey or Marcos Baghdatis.
