Anyone recently changed to this company? I recently did and was wondering how they compare (in all ways) to the other "big 2" - Scottish Power and Scottish Gas?
Few scary stories about them on the net, but mainly from folk who were pestered by their salesmen.
thanks.

Changed from Scottish Power to them as they promised cheaper bills. Got my first bill from them and it was £30 dearer for my dual fuel so left them now back with SP.
Don't believe the salesman :brickwall

i recently switched to be with them.

my only complaint was the amount of cack they sent me in the post on the run up to being connected.

it was almost daily i got a post card saying "we're really looking forward to supplying you"... "nearly there with supplying you"... "we'll be your suppliers shortly, you won't be sorry"...

I couldn't give a monkey's, I just wanted to be connected to a cheaper provider. they maybe got back from a customer survey that their communication was lacking and this was their answer, i don't know.

That aside, they are good and unlike other companies I have had power with, they tell you if you are paying too little for the amount you are using so you can adjust as you go without the walloping bill at the end of the year.

Have been with them for over 4 years myself and I must say that my leccy and gas has never been so cheap - have no intention of changing to anyone else

I've just switched to them. Was with SP for electric & EDF for gas who were the providers when my house was built. Most of my neighbours have already switched to them and I've only heard postitive comments. Been hassle free so far and haven't been bombarded with stuff through the post  Suppose proof will come when I get hit with the first bills

Their salesman are known for mis-selling, saying "I'm from the gas board and I'm here to check your bills. Ah...you're paying too much". That's the line the wide boy salesman tried on me. If they are so cheap then why do they try to spin that line? Bunch of tossers.

Been with Hydro for a couple of years. Don't compare prices every ten mins but over the period they've tended to be last to put their prices up. Also very good to speak with, unlike virtually every other utility I've ever dealt with.

they might not be the very cheapest but the overall package is the best IMO. any problems are swiftly resovled.

thanks to all. The sales boy was a bit pushy (or so he thought) but, to be honest, i was lookin for a new supplier as i had already read that SP were 2nd highest and i wanted to give another firm a shot. There's no contract with S.H. so why not?! I'll report back if i find anything nasty/crap.
thanks to all again.

One of the other reasons I switched to SH was that it was (I'm told) a Brit company.
Aren't SP now Spanish owned and Scottish Gas French owned?
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

aye, SP are Spanish owned and wont change their name to the Spanish name for the (obvious) fear of losing customers.
