Me and my mate are looking to go for a wee game of tennis tommorow, we just dont know where.

We will only be playing this once off and maybe a couple of other times on good weathered days. Does anyone know anywhere that we could just turn up rent the racket and balls etc?

The courts at St Margaret's Park in Corstorphine are run by Edinburgh Leisure so you can turn up and get racquets and balls too (I think). I can't remember how much it costs but I think its about a fiver.

Cheers for the reply but its October and on the Edinburgh Leisure website it only mentions about playing from June-September, so will it still be open?

There some courts at the east end of the Meadows. I believe that they are open year round.

Sports center on Colinton road has indoor courts, failing that Wimbledon has a covered court now :greengrin

Craiglockhart has indoor and outdoor courts for a decent price.

Probably best playing indoor today mind you  You'd have one hell of a serve playing downwind right enough..........
