Can you? What worse way is there for a fisherman to die when he's checking his crab pots in the river?

A search is under way for a British fisherman believed to have been snatched by an 18ft crocodile in the Australian Outback.

If he's been attacked by a Saltwater Crocodile, i'm afraid he's had it.
I don't imagine that any kind of death is a barrel of laughs but being eaten alive by a Saltwater Crocodile must rank up there as one of the worst ways to go.

Thought I read they dragged you down and drowned you, then stashed the body in underwater larders to nibble at later. :agree:
Could be wrong.
Maybe that was badgers :brickwall

As far as I know, "Salties" eat their prey whole as soon as they capture it.
I might be wrong, though.

Apparently they have now captured 3 big beggars of crocs in the area ... one of which has been found to have human remains in it's stomach. They are now attempting to identify the unfortunate individual by DNA having sedated the croc and taken samples of said human's tissue via shoving a tube or summat doon the croc's gub!
Although the croc won't now ever be released back into the wild, there are no plans to put it down because it's an iconic creature.
I wouldn't fancy being it's keeper though even for big danger money!
