Time to pull the plug on these cowboys.

No ryder cup has been the final straw for me. Their 'liberal' leanings in almost everything (even though i m pretty liberal myself), their failure to show international football games evenly and fairly, their constant licking of obama's baws at every opportunity (almost making me want the republicans to win just to GIRFU them), their west coast bias, their selection of piss poor shows, strictly come dancing :brickwall, all that musical pash shows like when joseph met maria, overpaid fannies like graham norton....... the list is endless :grr::grr::grr::grr:

I don't even listen to their radio stations i listen to talk sport so why the **** do i have to subscribe to it just because i own a tv? How do they get away with it??? bassaaaaaas!!!!!!!!:grr:

Bring on independence.

They haven't shown the Ryder Cup in many years. That, and the lack of international matches, is purely down to money. Can you imagine the furore if the Beeb doubled the licence fee just to pay for the Ryder Cup??

People talk about the licence fee as if it is a susbcription fee for receiving BBC which it certainly is not.:brickwall

A TV licence is required to lawfully allow you to use any TV equipment such as TV set, digital box, video or DVD recorder, computer or mobile phone to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on television.

So by not subscribing to it as you suggested would prevent you from lawfully watching Sky,STV, Setanta, etc etc.

personally i love bbc services and use them every day for hours on end: the news and sport website i check almost hourly, i have radio 5live or radio scotland on when i'm in the house almost all day, saturday i listen to the football shows before and after (and during for away games) and watch match of the day at night.

tv: i watch a lot of news 24, much better than over the top sky news with all their ridiculous graphics. their output has gone downhill over the years imo but they still put out some great shows which few others seem able to produce, eg nature ones, or that walking with dinosaurs thing

in terms of the sport theres not much they can do about being outbid imo, the money is a finite resource and murdoch will do whatever he can to win the rights to these events as he knows sport is his best card

i know i for one deffo get value for money from them altho i agree re: the democrats but i think you would find that almost every media outlet outside of the US will have a pro-democrat bias.

one thing about all bbc stuff is that it is well produced and edited. i have a lot more faith in it for reliabilty for example than any other media firm
