A year or so ago, I downloaded forms from the anthony nolan trust website with the intention of applying to get on the register, but being the lazy arsed sod that I am, it never got any further than that.

I'm ashamed to say I forgot all about it, until having a clear out yesterday when I found the forms lying around at the bottom of a drawer which gave me the kick up the arse I needed to look up the website again.

Rather than download the form and post my application, I found that there is a clinic being held in Tranent tomorrow which anyone in good health (aged 18- 40) can attend to fill in the forms and provide an initial blood sample.

This doesn't mean you get on the register, but it's the start of a process which could end up in you helping to save a life somewhere else on the planet.

I hear that donating bone marrow is a painful thing to do, so be under no illusions that it's easy. However, if you think you can help, then please try to pop along to -

Loch Centre
Well Wynd
TRANENT
East Lothian
EH33 2JX

(4pm - 7pm)

and see if it's for you.

Just turn up on the day.

Cheers.

Good shout :top marks

This is an excellent organisation and the the idea of a huge data bank on donors is fantastic.
