He may stand up to the U.S.A and its attempts to control everything that moves, (good on him for that) but behind all the over the top posturing and dramatics, Chavez is something of a loose cannon, a deeply flawed and unpredictable leader in a position of power at a time when the countries of South America are showing a new independent, progressive and welcome collective effort to develop and work for the mutual benefit of each other, having one by one thrown off the legacies of previous U.S installed regimes and puppet dictators. Making strategic moves such as the one in the article is fine, but the taunts and ridiculous statements he comes out with show him up for the liability he is.
