I personally think he is too old to be the president. Plus i think he is a knob for wanting to keep American soldiers in Iraq.
p.s. I deleted the other thread with the same title because I forgot to add the poll :brickwall

Age shouldn't be a barrier as long as he is healthy and playing with a full deck of cards, better hope his cancer doesnt came back again as Palin looks like she could start a fight in an empty room.

Whether or not he is the right man for the job, im not sure. But i would cartainly have to say that age should not be a factor. :agree:

THAT's the problem.
IS he working with a full deck of cards? I think not.
And do we want the leader of the "free world" so-called to be someone whose only political experience is governing Alaska and who looks as if she's just stepped out of the cast of "Dynasty"?
I don't. :bitchy:

To be fair, they all look like that :greengrin
For some reason (or maybe just coincidence) Americans like to elect governors - four of the last five presidents came from a gubernatorial background. Just as an aside, how good a word is 'gubernatorial'?
And the only two Democratic presidents since LBJ were both Southern governors - does that not make it a bit obvious how they should go about winning a presidential election or are they right to feel they can break that mould?

"Gubernatorial" is a LOVELY word. :agree:
In this country Palin would be seen as a hard-right extremist on many issues. However, I think I'll withdraw the "Dynasty" comment - she's an experienced politician with a lot of backing in the Republican Party.
SOME of the stuff she's reported as having done I would go along with.

Next time I see her, 'Alaska' if she was ever in a soap opera back in the 80's.
Sorry about that, simply irresistable.

McCains too old to be in charge of the telly remote never mind the United States of Advertising.
You only need to look at the names of Palins children to get an idea of whit she's like
simply put - a bam of the first order.
Childrens names - Trig Track Willow Piper and Bristol. Sound like oil rigs.

She's American - Americans give their children 'different' names.
I knew a couple in the SWP who called THEIR kids Leon Trotsky and Rosa Luxemburg (McCafferty). :bitchy:

Pffft. The boy should clearly have been called Karl Liebknecht to create a nicer consonance.

Make your mind or post two polls. ;)
I don't support the man but I don't believe age should come into it. If he's the right man for the job, a question which this poll DOES NOT address, then who cares what age he is?

If he's the right man for the job, of course his age doesn't matter - he's in his early 70's, not 105. I know lots of highly competent and able people in their 70's, and some complete and utter looney-toons in their 30's and 40's.
The only question I think I'd be concerned about is his health - he has had a couple of quite serious illnesses, I understand.
But that's why you're going to be voting for a Pres and a Veep in November, right?
But having done a bit of research, I withdraw my comment about Palin and Dynasty; she looks like a lady who can look after herself.
I look forward to the Veep debate on Oct 2 (I think it is?).....

My only worry about his age goes something like this:
Secretary of Economics:"Mr President, them darn Ruskies have put up the gas prices again."
President of the USA:In deep thought thinking about his ever nearing date with the grim reaper and aware of the loud ticking sound coming from the Oval Office wall clock. "Sarah, help me push that **** off big red button and I'll show these Commy barstewards not to **** with Uncle Sam."
