Noticed that Ryan Air are in trouble becasue of the prices of oil. What I was wodnering is if you pay for a flight, can the airline then charge you for more if they want or need to? I know that some sights (liek Asdas) state when you've paid for your holdiay they reserve the right to change you to a different airline that may result in you paying more. Not sure if the airline can charge you more for a flight thats already been paid for?
Anyone know?

We got a bill from Globespan last year for flights we had paid for 10 months previously. It was an extra tenner each I think. The explanation was taxes or something.
we actually didn't get a bill now I think about it - they just took it from our credit card and informed us they were doing so.

They might bring in some kind of supplement, I don't know.
I have a flight booked for December, but I think it will be fine. Its with KLM and the price I paid should remain.
Ryanair is one of those companies who expanded too quick maybe - look at where they fly to - it's mental. No wonder they have difficulties.
I once took Ryanair, supposedly to "Dusseldorf" when they first opened the route. To my surprise when I landed, the airport was only 5 miles from the dutch border and a taxi journey to Dusseldorf was going to cost 80 Euro. The bus took 2 hours.
