I don't know but if there was any justice she would set up a special parliament (perhaps called The Wendy House) especially for politicians with surnames for first names, and he could be its first member :agree:.

Why? He's doing a grand job.
First the Wide-Mouthed Frog, now the Faceless Wonder.
It's Eck's full-blooded enthusiasm for the debate that does it.
Mind you, I think he may have something going with Annabelle G. Now there's a thought....

:agree:
Nicol was a nice guy but just not forceful enough to be a leader IMO.
Hopefully a strong Liberal and Labour Leader in the near future will ensure Salmond doesnt get back in.

Sooner that trumpet Salmond is gone the better....:agree:
Him and his cronies havenae really done much for Scotland...he had a chance to stop the trams but bottled it :agree:
Have to say that i'm impressed with Councillor Peacock fae the Lib Dems....his crusade to save Meadowbank and sort out the Figgate Park are pleasing to read about :agree:

You sound as if it'll happen soon but Eck is doing just fine and will be here for a while yet!!
The Lib Dems are great at campaigning for worthy local issues but if they don't make that big push in the next couple of years with Labour a joke and Independence still way down in the average Scottish voter's priorities, then when will they ever?
Nicol Stephen is indeed a very very nice man but he's probably made the right decision.

yeah, some people just like a comfort zone, don't they?
best off leaving it to labour and the libdems, eh, they certainly know how to lead us and make decisions. labour - the most disasterous foreign policy decision in modern history to take us into an illegal war based on completely flawed intelligence which was skewed towards the outcome the americans wanted. libdems - apparently so against the war, that they continued to do business with the party of war crimes, Labour, in the scottish parliament. How's that for principles.
fannies. no thanks - id sooner see the reformed tories in that that bunch.
if anything, i think the libdems and labour might be waiting a while for a chance to get back in. hopefully by then, they'll have some better ideas, maybe get shot of some of the west coast socialist mafia types and perhaps have a bit more humility.
until then, i'm enjoying seeing them fall to bits.

Elaine Morris or John Barret will step in - both have been excellent for the areas they serve so far :agree:

I suppose it's comments like yours which remind us of how unashamed labourites are.
Should we forget about the fact that Labour took us into a completely illegal invasion in Iraq? What a disaster. All the while, the LibDems did the right thing and complained bitterly that this country was carrying out an act of aggression. Secretly, though, they didn't wish to upset the applecart too much and complied with Scottish Labour in Holyrood - they could have had Labour over a barrell, though I think that Tory Blair was too much involved with Bush that he would have been willing to sacrifice power in Scotland for his evil crusade in the middle East. No wonder he's turned Catholic, started up a faith foundation and been trying to mend things in the Middle East since retiring - its the very least his guilt should compel him to do.
Thankfully for Labour, they have reduced political debate to not much more than a pantomime - again, as demonstrated by their supporters. If you are not for them, you are either a tory or a racist.
Going to war is a pretty big deal for most countries. It should be massive for us especially as we went there based on a complete lie.
Still, yer dad probably voted Labour, and yer dad's dad and its who the Record/Sun tells you to vote for, so I don't really expect to be able to get you to see exactly how wrong Labour have gone and why we should be furious with them.
