I've got friends from down south coming up tomorrow and will only be here for the day. I was thinking of taking them on one of the bus tours...looking on the website there are a few different options, what would you recommend?
Also any other ideas of what to do...aside from the obvious one of the Castle?

Museums? Shops? Gallerys? etc...

I'd reccommed a free New Europe tour. They leave from the Starbucks on the Royal Mile at 11 am and 3 pm, last 2.5 - 3 hours and the only fee is tipping the guide at the end if you think they deserved one. No I don't work for them
EDIT should add it's a walking tour but I prefer them anyway.
