Go on a cruise around the med on a luxury liner such as Independence of the Seas which departs from Southampton. :greengrin

Whats your budget?

No sure yet. Not wanting to spend loads, but if the right place came along at the right price...

Are cruises for old peolple? Is there plenty to do on one?

Try HMP Saughton, it's the best preparation you'll get for the rest of your life.

Or alternatively, I would recommend the "Absolute Danny" room at the winston hotel Amsterdam. Everything you need for the perfect honeymoon is on hand - just read the instructions first!!

On our honeymoon we stayed in a little town just outside Monte Carlo, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Really nice although not sure of how much stuff to do as we went in November but the weather was spot on. Went on day trips to Nice and Monte Carlo, all within easy reach.

My honeymoon almost 20 years ago was in Paris. Just the two of us back then but we went back a few years ago with the children and spent some time in central Paris and some at Eurodisney. If I was going on honeymoon with my kids I'd think about a week or so split between the city centre and a Disney hotel.

I'm posting from mauritius right now but as it's southern hemisphere, it's their winter and the weather is pretty gash. Bit too posh for me though as you can't fart without someone wanting to wipe your arse. 3 great golf courses though and fantastic deep sea fishing.

Agreed. Service is OTT.

We went to Elounda in Crete for our honeymoon, Elounda is great little village and there are some top notch hotels as well as some nice 3 or 4* hotels that are affordable.

Also we have just arrived back from Stalis and stayed in the Blue Sea Village Resort and Spa, this hotel is great and has everything, kids entertainment everyday, great restaurant for AI guests, nice pools and a beach across the road, it is right on the edge of Stalis so a 5min walk to some great beach bars, but also far enough away not to be disturbed with noise. I think Thomas Cook book to there, also it has just been completely reconstructed and to a very high standard http://www.bluesea.gr/ unfortunately they are still working on the new website.

Where abouts are you? Was at the Belle Mare Plage a while back and the courses were stunning - service can become tiresome though!

Don't be influenced either way by the Rooney's involvement in the area (gee, I musta been ultra-fashionable 9 years ago  ), we honeymooned in Sorrento, Italy and it was great. The locals would make a big fuss of the bambino and there's as much, or as little, to do in the area as you want: Naples, Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi, Portofino :cool2:

My better half and I have talked about going on a 14 day cruise to the Antarctica for our honeymoon - we just fancy doing something absolutely different and properly "once in a lifetime". It's not as expensive as you may think, but certainly not cheap either!

For between £3-4k, you both fly from the UK to Argentina, depart from port, pass through Drake's Passage, going onto the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and into the Antarctic circle, camping under a luminescent sky, illuminated by the stars of the southern hemisphere.

All ran through a company called Peregrine Adventures - they have a lot of cool stuff on their website, which can be found through google

That's where we are. It really is stunning but i can't wait to get home for a kebab or a chippy as the foods a bit OTT.

I've mostly stuck to the links and knocked myself spark out on the golf cart and got kept in hospital(more like a jail) for 2 days. Just lost it and walked out this morning. The hotel management sent me a lovely fruit basket, wishing me a speady recovery which was nice of them
