I'm not entirely sure if this should be here or in the Dugout, so feel free to move it if it's in the wrong place.

Basically I am travelling to the above places - mainly Mexico - for a total of 6 weeks as of June 22nd. Has anyone got any recomendations/links for things to do in Toronto beyond the Niagara Falls/CNN Tower?

The majority of my travels - along with 2 mates - are to take place around Mexico, starting off @ Mexico City (again, any recommendations/links muchos apprciated) and then heading west to the Acapulco Coast. But really, we've no strict plans, apart from the 1st 4 nights in Mexico City and we're flying back out from there as well.

Has anyone travelled to any degree around Mexico? How easy/economic was it?

I'll be doing a fair amount of research on this myself, but any and all hints/recommendations would be most welcome.

Cheers

If you're travelling between Toronto and Niagara take the train down and the bus back. The train continues on to New York and frequently gets held up by US customs.

Niagara on the lake is very pretty and there's a shop there called Scotch Corner where you can buy Irn-Bru.

Tim Horton's for donuts

Toronto FC might be at home, so you can remind yourself how bad Colin Samuel is.

And it's totally out of season, since the Stanley Cup won't be there, but the Hockey Hall of Fame rocks.

The Eaton Centre if you want to go shopping. The Royal Ontario Museum if you're that way inclined. Baseball if you like that kind of thing. www.toronto.com to find out what's on. www.ticketmaster.ca for gigs.

How long are you in Toronto for?

Niagara Falls is like a warm Blackpool. You have been warned!!

In Toronto, go on one of the boat trips from the waterfront. The views are spectacular..........

If you like live a good night with loud music then check out the Bovine Sex Club in Toronto. And as mentioned earlier the waterfront area is nice to have a stroll if it is a nice day.

And Tim Horton's maple dip doughnuts are indeed damn fine.

I do beg your pardon??? Yamboy, I don't know how you do things down Gorgie Farm Way, but I'll be sticking to purely homo sapien strip joints, thanks very much :greengrin

A friend of mine just got back from travelling around Mexico and South America recently, said it was all amazing apart from the time he spent in Mexico City. 4 nights sounds like a long time to spend there, are there any day trips you can organise? from the sounds of it there's loads of amazing things to do and see in Mexico but Mexico City isn't one of them
