Do Pandas count? They're technicaly not bears... and Brown Bears are different from Grizzly bears too.. :duck:

My understanding is that Brown Bears and Grizzly Bears are the same except that one lives inland and the other lives on the coast....can't remember which is which now though. :)

Panda's are bears, (but a less evolved form) but red panda's aint.

Yes it should. I was probably thinking about the Huns and their pathetic and largely ignored attempt to appropriate the term 'bear' and ersine sprung to mind.

I am of the understanding that the largest of Bears is the Kodiak, a subspecies of the Brown and as such, I shall vote for them. I will now print a copy of this post and keep it on my person at all times in case I should ever encounter one, at which point I will produce this compelling evidence that I am it's friend, ensuring that instead of mauling me to a gruesome death it will invite me back to it's cave to share some honey.
