What with it being a holiday today, have our esteemed city fathers (and mothers) also taken a break from oppressing the indigenous motorist or will we be pillaged at the meters as per normal?
I havent seen any publicity either way so if anybody knows better than I pray tell.

Thanking you!

From the cooncil website

Public Holidays

Please note that there are only four days a year when parking restrictions are not enforced as normal. On Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Easter Monday and Christmas Day, motorists may park free of charge in pay and display bays and on single yellow lines (outwith any loading prohibition).

Drove past at least 4 parking tickets today and a mini "enforcer" convention on Bruntsfield.

A lot of people seem to have made the mistake of assuming the restrictions aren't in force.

Today is obviously the day they get their targets back on... um... target. :grr:
