was it correct that allan mcgregor was allowed to have treatment on the pitch and then remain on it instead of going off to be recalled back on by the ref as other players do
I think the laws of common sense say that a GK would have to be an exception to the get off the pitch till fixed rule.

Seem to remember that you can't play on without somone in the goalie position.
This came up a number of years ago when we were playing at Parkhead, and Darren Jackson had to go in goal. Don't remember the detail, but it took him a while to get himself into the goal, and there was a delay to the restart of the game.

Yes - all injuries to goalies are treated this same way.

Think Jackson went in while Leighton was getting treatment, when Leighton was ready to come back on Jackson ran to the touchline to hand over the keepers shirt and gloves, but the ref allowed play to continue and Jackson had to rush back into goal until the ball went out of play.
Total farce and I believe we let in a goal either while Leighton was injured, Jackson was in goal or just after Leighton came back on.
