Ah right - when I checked earlier it just said police were still trying to establish what had happened.

My sister has just rung to say that it's a nightmare at Calder roundabout, she ended up 'birlin' round the roundabout and headed back and up to Gillespie Crossroad and out to East Calder, via the Lang Wang to Kirknewton.

Apparantly it's the same city bound and all roads are clogged up!

It's total gridlock on this side of town. Bypass westbound is at a standstill and all surrounding roads aren't much better. They're putting in pedestrian crossings at Gillespie which isn't exactly aiding traffic flow. Took me forty minutes to get from Currie through Juniper Green earlier. I don't think it will be getting any better as rush hour approaches either.

Anybody heading through to the Old Firm game will be snookered as the M8 still isnt open - supposidly opening within the hour thought but imagine the traffic tail back!! :bye:
