The Thought Police Are Coming

The Home Secretary was on the telly this morning. Apparently she has sanctioned funds to put more boobies on the beat, to tackle the threat of fundamentalism.

She wants to stop youngsters from being sucked into terrorism, and apparently the presence of these policemen will do that. Apart from the fact that experience shows that such moves usually have the opposite effect and drive more youngsters to support paramilitaries, surely we are getting close to a police state with this sort of thing?

What can we expect from a government made up of ex-teachers and social workers. Another "youse dae whit yer telt" move if you ask me.

Here's a thought - why not find out why these people are disaffected and do something about that?

Or is that too much like common sense?

A better approach is removing Government funding fir any Faith-based schools and actively promoting secularism and democratic freedoms tae combat the irrational virus, Religion.

I have three different Lebanese catering companies reporting to me. One of their managers was in my office this morning asking after a new cost scheduler we have on the project. Said scheduler is a BIG BIG BIG BIG American black girl. Anyway I started getting into his head about lusting after married women then moved on to the amount of whisky he is drinking at the minute. Anyway bottom line was he was happy to do ia as he is a "modern Muslim". Personally thought it was hilarious and the best excuse I have ever heard from a Muslim for drinking to excess.
