So Gordon is hoping that leading clubs take part in this celebration.
Dont get me wrong I support the Armed Forces - they have enough of a hard job as it is and we owe our freedom to them.
However I'm not too sure whether football clubs and grounds are the place to celebrate this. Just because clubs have large public gatherings should we all be deemed supportive by association?
Anti-war anti-government protests would likely target anything like this and should football clubs expose themselves to running the risk of any negative press associated with this?
Besides there are other unsung heroes we should be celebrating are we as football fans expected to support one over any other. NHS staff, teachers lollipop men/women are they or others any less deserving?
