What is the big stushie about stem cell research? Cabinet ministers threatening to resign as a matter of conscience. Surely this research must be a good thing, if it can help to save lives? Thoughts please!:confused:

It is just another small step towards - hopefully - curing some of the nastiest illnesses that some unfortunate people have to suffer. As if these things haven’t been done already! I would be shocked if there hasn’t been a human cloned somewhere in the world.

Nevertheless we shouldn't even be discussing this matter. I have no problem with people having religious beliefs as long as it doesn't interfere with me but this does and they can GTF. If it was Muslims preaching stuff like this they would be classed as religious extremists. All this Frankenstein talk is a joke and these nutters have no right to make these claims and the media shouldn’t be giving them the platform to do so. The bill will get passed with mp’s and that will be the end of it :agree:

The issue is, I believe, not with stem cell research itself but where the stem cells are collected from.

All the bloody fuss about Shirra (sp) Law interfering with UK Law the other week and everyone’s up in arms. The Church of Rome interfering with UK Law seems to be OK though :confused:

seems to me it is the way forward in the world of medicine.

If stem cell research finds a cure for degenerating disease such as Parkinsons, Cancer etc it'll be the best thing since slice bread.
