Five years since the start of this brutal dirty war. I thought Bush stood on the deck of an aircraft carrier and claimed "Mission Accomplished"? Unbelievable how many innocent people have lost their livesin an illegal war. Bush and Blair should hang their heads in shame, and be sent to the Hague for war crimes. :bitchy:

I love how the Pentagon just recently published a report stating that there has been no report found linking Saddam to Al Queda. No WMDs, no links to terrorists.

Oops.

Fingers crossed for November!

How close are you to Yale, Max? Fancy taking a trip there to be instructed in 'faith studies' (whatever exactly those are) by the unctuous (but newly sanctified) Tony Blair?

I think he'd be better off going to MIT and listening to their Professor of Linguistics :agree:

Bush and Brown cant let go can they, we are winning, there is an improvement, the world is a safer place now :faf::faf:the Iraqis all love us even though they try and kill us daily. Of course it is the foreign terrorists who are causing all the trouble hence the reason we call them insurgents though they are pretty much all from Iraq.

Brown develop some gonads and get the troops out now.

Bush starts a war that has more to do with oil than anything else.
Bumboy Blair canny stand to see his mate do anything on his own so commits the UK troops to the illegal war, using some ropey dossier which has more holes than a Tetley Tea Bag Factory as the basis of said invasion
Five years on, thousands of people are deid - UK, US and Iraqi's directly
Five years on, the UK and US are more hated than ever before thanks to the "relationships" St Tony and St George have built with the middle-east
Five years on, we are ALL further out of pocket and no sign of that changing...
Five years on and the arse-holes in charge of the US and UK have learned **** all...

Progress?

Really?

I think not.

The moral of the story - DONT start wars over oil. DONT but yer nose in where it's not wanted. DONT presume to tell people their lives have improved when your clodhopping actions have actually made things worse and DONT think the rest of the world will believe yer propoganda and pish....

The fact Bliar has any role within the UN shows how ****ed the planet really is with the fate of the world we live in controlled by truly over zealous *****....

Doomed? Big time.

Cant see it changing to be honest. For hundreds of years we helped ourselves to every other countrys wealth/rescources now we dont have the clout to do it BUT America has so we bum up with them so as we can atleast have a wee bit.

The government know its wrong and the war is illegal but who's gonna stop them."The terrorists" blowing up buses and tube stations are the best thing that happened in terms of the government creating a fear factor and justifying the war.

Around £4,200,000,000. Give or take a few squidly.

Its has cost the yanks $424,000,000,000. Give or take a few greenbacks.

I fear the actual cost to the nations (not monetary) is far far higher.

I hope its resolved sooner rather than later.

Top class article. Amazing to hear the statistical comparisons with the second world war. Makes you sick to the stomach to be honest but Gordy and George think the world is a safer place so it must be. :bitchy:

My sister-in-law went to Yale, it's not that far away. A couple of hours by car.

But, em, no, I won't be going there. :)

Afghanistan: yes, agree with going in and trying to flush out the ****.

Iraq: Has anyone actually come up with a legit reason yet?

Someone was pissed off that his daddy didn't do the business so we all suffer!
