When i was in the car back from the game today, saw a big group of people outside the glasgow hilton waving palestine flags.
Anyone know why?

After as sweep of search rsults I think the JNF (Jewish National Fund) were having a fundrasier with Goldie Hawn and the Israeli Ambassador as the special guests.
Apparently the funds raised are going towards ethnic cleasing of Israel and Palestine.

Did you only search Hamas approved sites? The JNF is using the funds to build a reservoir, acessible to all. Still can't let the facts get in the way of the demonisation process, can we?

Yeah, but that's what they were protesting at. They're not gonna protest at a reservoir. Hence the use of the word 'apparently'.

Presumably you only search Zionist approved sites then.:bye:
The purpose of the JNF is to purchase land for the settlement of Jews, fact, as stated in it's charter. Has been condemned by the Israeli Supreme Court for it's illegal discrimination, fact, forcing the government to create a loop hole to allow the continued discrimination.

This is true. Interesting that Israel has a legal system where issues such as this can be freely debated and the government overruled. Not likely to happen under Hamas, is it? If you want to see real discrimination, have a read at the Hamas charter (http://www.palestinecenter.org/cpap/documents/charter.html). It even approvingly quotes "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" - a notorious anti-Semitic forgery which is a huge seller in Arab countries. Those who romanticise Palestinian "resistance" should have a read at this. I look at many websites on this topic as I have a genuine interest in it. I have no idea of knowing whether they are "Zionist approved" or not. I'd imagine that any Arab based site would have to be "Hamas approved", simply because of the fate which awaits those Hamas doesn't approve of

Nonsense. Any Arab site would have to be Hamas approved? How powerful do you actually believe Hamas to be in the wider Arab world? Do you think Al Jazeera only reports Hamas approved news?
I'm sorry but whilst i don't romanticise Palestinian resistance, i certainly can't help but feel you are doing you utmost to demonise it.
There are clear wrongs on both sides of the divide and propoganda will be used openly.

Could you kindly point to where me or anyone else has expressed support for Hamas?
So please don’t try the old trick to taking the debate of at a tangent which misses the main point, Israel is illegally occupying Palestinian land that is not in question, it is fact. Presumably you support this aggression, try defending the crime rather than attempting to divert attention by flailing around attacking a group who nobody has expressed a hint of support for.

Hamas was democratically elected in free and fair elections by the Palestinian people, its not their fault if their choice doesn't suit the United States of Israel and Bush!:bitchy:

Absolutely.
And moreover...after Hamas won the elections in 2006, and the Palestinian unity govrnment was formed, Israel & the US could have encouraged a diplomatic dialogue.
Instead - and despite a truce by Hamas - they refused to accept the election result, blockaded Gaza and tried to overthrow Hamas by military means. :bitchy:
