Anyone Been to Thailand

Got flights booked to go to Thailand in December and have never been.

Plan to spend 3 nights in Bangkok then 10 days at one of the beach resorts.

Not sure which resort would be best thinking of either ****et, Krabi or Koh Samui. Anyone know what resort would be best for a couple, with great beaches and a reasonable nightlife.

Patong Beach, ****et = mental. Probably not the best for a couple. However, there are other resorts there that may be better, check them out perhaps.

Why stick to one place too? Not so expensive to fly between places over there.

Koh Samui is good, Chaweng Beach is the main resort. Didn't go to Krabi but heard good things. Also, Koh Phi Phi is very nice. Pretty quiet but worth a look (its off the west coast, near ****et).

Whatever you do, I HIGHLY recommend flying into Koh Samui Airport, you really won't believe it. Amazing :agree:

I went to Bangkok then ****et, Patong Beach with my Mrs.

Bangkok is a hovel. Stayed there for 4 nights which was at least 2 nights too long. You could probably do the Kings Palace in the morning, Floating Mkt in the afternoon & Patpong at night for shopping etc. Stayed in Suukumvit Road (sp?) & whilst the Hotel was beautiful, the rest of Bangkok was brutal aside from the trips mentioned.

When I go back I'll stay there 1 night, then back off to the South which is just stunning. :agree:

great place enjoy .you can do over night tours to krabi and koh samui from *****et pretty reasonable prices as long as you are both open minded you will be fine bai soi road at night is an eye opener :wink: great markets for browsing just round the corner .pm if you need anymore info you lucky swine
