Saw a picture of the pop star Gary Numan, comparing todays version to that of thirty years ago.

Work has been done.

It seems to be a fashion accessory for some pop stars that once they reach a certain age and a wrinkle shows, they panic and get this plastic surgery/botox to make themselves look young. They only have to look at Michael Jackson to see the consequences of plenty of sunshine - the plastic melts in the heat and it looks disgusting - waste of money :agree:

There are huge dangers in the present rage for cosmetic surgery. In some cases (Jackson being one) a genuine addiction develops. In other cases the patient ends up looking like one of the terracotta warriors. And actually it's quite sad that women who in themselves are really attractive can ruin their looks in the attempt to hold onto their youth.

The Andi McDowell of 'Groundhog Day' is an attractive girl - the one on the L'Oreal ads just looks odd, IMO. And compare the Liza Minelli of 'Cabaret' with the present-day version.....

And Tony Curtis hasn't done himself any favours.
