    I think someone in the 9-1 Rosenburg game got one. May even have been Iain Munro. Hatricks were very common back then

    You are correct Freudian slip on my part must have been thinking of the Van De Graaf generators in Physics at school. The only van involved was the one to take him back from where he came frae.

    Having a pint with fellow Hibees. All of us wracking our brains. Two of the group are sure Joe McBride got a hat-trick in aeuropean game. The rest of us are dammned if we can remember that. The youngest in our group is 64.

    I was thinking the same Snooky……….especially as its par for the course these days. He had some goals to game ratio.....67 appearances 44 goals for Hibs
