Is there a formula for working out who plays who home or away?
Not sure why we should be expected to go to Ibrox again.

Time to look at halfing the gate receipts for post split matches. Either that or the away team keeps he away support money.

Hibs lose out on the income from a 20000 crowd.
That should not be allowed to happen.

As far as I can see the big battle is between ourselves, Sevco and Aberdeen for 2nd so these three teams should have balanced fixtures. Celtic, Killie and Hearts should be the ones who are inconvenienced.

Think someone on here posted a week or so back, the games due at home and away, post split, that the current top 6, plus Motherwell and St Johnstone, should be due
I know we are due 3 home and 2 away. Hope we get this

I don't really have a problem with it.
We all know before a ball is kicked that certain anomalies may arise that appear unfair.
As a newly-promoted side, we were always more likely to be hard done by by the system this season.
We just need to get on with whatever is produced and make the most of it.
Next season we're more likely to benefit from any little foibles, and we need to make sure that whenever any advantage is presented to us (such as when we played Hamilton in the play-offs) that we take advantage and capitalise on it.
I'm amazed how much energy is expended in this country on getting worked up about the split, the league structure, and how many teams we have in our top league.

That's over 5% of our budgeted receipts lost, around £300k.
It's a big deal.Last edited by Hibbyradge; 11-03-2018 at 03:06 PM.

I might be getting confused a little here, but my understanding of it is that we will still get our 19 home games, however, we won't get 2 home games against rangers. Is that wrong?
If so what a joke, every fan in the league who buys a season ticket expects 19 home games plain and simple.

The problem is Rangers have played Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs and Killie all at home twice already. So someone has to move. It will be us as we are the lost ranked team from last year

We are due to play Aberdeen away.

We should be
Huns at Home
Celtic at Home
Yams away
Dons away
St Johnstone home
If it was to be fair that would give us 2 at home and 2 away against them all and it would be even across the board
Not difficult but it will probably be
Huns away
Yams away
Celtic at home
Dons away
St Johnstone home
Or Celtic yams and Huns away at the very least

If we (or someone else) get 18 home fixtures due to the fixture organisers' shortsightedness in giving Rangers two home games against Celtic AND Aberdeen AND Hearts AND Hibs, more people will be raging than just the fans.
It is an absolute joke. You would bet on at least half of the top six being three of four of those clubs. What were they playing at?

What's worse about this is that it might be us and Rangers fighting it out for second/third and us v them could be the big deciding tie in all of that.
They're seriously considering "fixing" the fixtures so that one of us gets an extra home tie against the other?
Why not punish 6th place who are guaranteed by the split not to be above 5th anyway?...

All this talk of yams in the top 6 is surely a bit premature?

How many home games have we played already?
We have 2 more due pre split (Hamilton and Partick)
Something tells me we’re going to be screwed here

If we get less than 19 home games presumably season ticket holders will get a refund of some sort?
