If you get greasy food on your clothes rub washing up liquid into it and soak in hot water for 30 mins before putting in the washing machine.

When draining potatoes or pasta, run the cold water tap into the sink.
There will be less steam.

As long as you don't go crazy and plug in all the huge wattage appliances at once you'll be good, 4 mobile phone chargers won't draw that much!

Revive the twang of old guitar strings by boiling them in water. (Take them off your geet first, of course! )
They say it works but I've never tried it.

If you have pots or pans with burnt on bits that won’t come off even after soaking, pour water in the pot, put it on the hob and bring to the boil, when it reaches the boil, put some bicarbonate of soda into it and immediately turn the heat down to between a simmer and boil (you will need to do this as the water will rise after the bicarbonate goes in) and keep it like this for a few minutes. The burnt on bits will lift off.

It's hard to keep the slices together when you dice them. An afro comb keeps them tightly in place.

Dirty microwave? Stick a dish of soapy water in it for a minute. The grime will wipe off easy. Same with the oven.
And the one about putting a phone/tablet/laptop in rice if it gets wet really does work.

If you live in Edinburgh (or EH postcode area I think) get yourself a Library card.
Gives you access to loads of online material for FREE.
Best one, and what I use regularly, is access to most UK daily newspapers and a whole host of weekly, monthly magazines covering many subjects. These are accessed via a couple of Apps - PressReader and/or RBDigital.
Here’s a link to get you started for those in Edinburgh.

Even if you’re not in Edinburgh area, pretty sure other local councils provide a similar service, so might be worth looking up your Council’s website to check.

White vinegar to clean suede. Works far better than any 'specialist' spray cleaner ive used.
