Pizza or Piazza? Ive heard of this Hearts invention. It's very similar to Hibs traditional queue area.

The club have an utterly rank rotten approach to serving fans reasonable food at reasonable prices.

Good to see a bit of choice on offer even if it is outside the ground.
I know we have all had a laugh about Hearts and their 'chips will be served' but since they have brought their catering in house the range on offer has improved. They still do the usual pies etc but also have a curry stall and will be introducing noodle boxes as well. I believe they have also taken on a couple of other catering contracts (a rugby club and a golf club).
I suppose it all comes down to whether there is a business case for it but the catering options at Hibs are garbage. I went straight to the recent Livingston game straight from work so grabbed a steak pie from the kiosks and it was absolutely rank. I threw half of it in the bin.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

it is an area the Club could improve massively on (and make some revenue out of it at the same time), the standard offered at the moment, inline with most other football clubs incidentally, is pretty poor both in terms of choice and quality. I think the club recognise this hence the trail last season with a local pie supplier (sorry forgot the name) and now this pizza trail. You have a huge amount of people looking for food and drink before the game, you only have to look at how US sports clubs have recognised this and catered for it and then look what is on offer at British sports clubs, there is just no comparison. A club in the UK will wake up to this one day.

With football here you have two real pressure points - just before kick-off and half-time, with some sales during the first half. It's also much smaller numbers generally. The other factor is that at the cricket, the concourses usually allow you to walk right round, so they don't face the issue at Hibs of having to provide numerous sets of catering facilities for each stand/tier, doing relatively small business. There's only one thing better than a Hibs calendar and that's two Hibs calendars
