It's not new but Sunbathing Animal by Parquet Courts is amazing, a sort of mix between Pavement, Television and the Modern Lovers amongst others.

Looking forward to the charlatan's new album Modern Nature out a week today. The 2 tracks I've heard so far sound like a real return to form, particularly Come Home Baby.

Not a new album, but the world premier live performance of one of the most influential Scottish Albums of all time (IMHO)

There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

No matter which album of his I buy I always find myself listening to Tea for the Tillerman from the beginning to the end, one of my all time favourite albums.

Not particularly new, but "From Scotland with Love" by King Creosote.

Saw him doing it live the other night at Celtic Connections, in front of the film that it was written for. Wonderful experience.

Not heard of them for years. Steady Rollin from about 10 years ago is a great track.

Listening to the new album now and I agree, it's very good
Much more polished than What The Toll Tells.

Really not sure to be honest. My mate put steady rollin on a mix for me in 06 and I listened to the album it's on a few times but it fell away quite quickly and I hadn't really given them another thought till I saw your post! Have saved the new album on spotify, maybe this one will have more staying power for me than What The Toll Tells.

Tried it on Spotify and I'm afraid I had to quit halfway through track 4.

New Decemberists album is excellent, as usual.

Stick with it - it's a difficult first listen but it's worth it.
