Westy each way (he won't win)
Can't see beyond DJ to be honest but had a wee bit on Rory.Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

See who wins the par 3 competition and don't bet on them.

Hard to look by Dustin Johnson for any tournament just now. Not looked at the odds yet but I got a run for my money on Matsuyama last year, so feel obliged to back him again. Justin Rose could also come into the reckoning this year.

Got a small bet on Oosthuizen at a big price (55/1). Will probs have a bet on someone at a shorter price. Stenson maybe.

Can't see past DJ so I'll be having Rahm, Hatton, Casey and Matsuyama all e/w. The outsider yank may be McGirt. Depending on how I'm doing I might have a punt at the weekend after the cut.

Not long now before our annual trip down Magnolia Lane and into the magnificent setting of Augusta National. It's probably the highlight of the golfing year as far as TV coverage is concerned albeit the field is never the strongest that can be assembled.
It's so difficult to pick a winner (Dustin Johnson is rightly favourite based on current form and the world rankings) but I've decided to go with the following:-
Ricki Fowler to win
Each way bets on Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Rose, Justin Thomas and Alex Noran.
Gusty winds are forecast for Thursday and this will definitely add to the interest (I love to see these guys struggle) but the weather looks settled after that so we should see the course at its spectacular best.

I agree, I love watching when the weather/conditions are tough, it's when you see the real cream and creative come to the fore (no pun intended), where sheer power isn't what makes the difference

Anyone with money on DJ?

Bet365 offering 8 places for e/w bets. Not sure if there are others offering similar, most likely. Furyk is 200/1, worth a wee punt...just checked, 3 over after 7.ffs

I normally spread my bet on the Masters of around 6 to win outright with a fiver on each, this time around - Kuchar Lowry Westwood Cabrero-Bello Garcia and Casey.

Not seen it, but I hear DJ hit his tee shot at the first then retired? Surely he would have known on the practice range whether or not he was fit to play?
Why did he do this? was it a question of world ranking points? Will punters get their money back because he's classified as a non-runner - or not?
Just a couple of questions eh! 😁

Rahm Fitzpatrick & Koepka.
A few beers and a nice relaxing night watching the golf.

Going by the leader board this could be one of the most hotly contested Masters in years going into the weekend.

Ended up doing a few smaller bets and they are all still alive other than Stenson and Hatton.
Still going Garcia Leishman Rahm Matsuyama and Casey all e/w and Mcilroy Michelson Fowler and Scott all on the nose.
