I'm interested as to how you came up with the percentages
simple, there are numbers above the letters on a standard keyboard, the shift key gives you access to the percentage symbol.
all you have to do is type, post and it becomes fact.
    True.

It would make sense to plan the future without McGinn. I think we all expect him to leave this summer if the right offer comes in. I just hope we get what he is worth.
Yeah, I agree, but Lennon’s Public position has been somewhat different so far. If, and it may not have been, this was an off the cuff comment to a friend I don’t think he’d be happy at it being made public.

We can dream but I think reality(positive) suggests McGinn will be sold and interest has started to come from several clubs.

This should give us a chance (%) of securing/-

    McGeouch - 30%
    Allan - 90% (100% loan worse case)
    Kamberi - 80%
    Barker - 70% (loan)
    Mallan - 60% (80% loan)
    McLaren - 50% (60% loan)

If we could get all of the above then we are in very very strong position.

A midfield 3 of Allan, Mallan and McGeouch would be fantastic.
Add to the mix Boyle, Whittaker, Bartley, Swanson and Slivka and we have a really good group of midfielders to choose from. In fact keeping them all happy might be the issue.

If Simon Murray is not involved then we need another attacker to compliment Kamberi, McLaren and Shaw.

Doubt that we will get everything that we wish for but you never know.

Yeah but what’s the percentage likelihood of us being in a very strong position?

Makes sense I guess, if we are to sign players like Kamberi Mallam and McGeouch then we'll need funds from a McGinn transfer

As much as I adore SJM I think McGeouch is more important to the way we play

I hope you're right, really do.

But I think SJM going will produce more sideways passing,

He has such a determination to play the forward pass or burst forward through the midfield with the ball at his feet, really unsettles teams that does.

Being a doom merchant i know, but i think we'll see a dip in performances and results next year if/when he leaves.

    Hope i'm wrong mind.

I feel DM may be slightly less hard to replace though.

It feels to me that there are more players of DM's type - if not quite of the same quality.
There are less players with McGinn's abilities plus I think even a slight drop in quality in that style of play would have a bigger impact.

Ah, **** it. Let's just keep them both

I doubt anyone in this league plays the ball forward as often and as effectively as Scott Allan.

I expect big things from Slivka next season. He’s a forward thinking midfielder.

See Lennon said this about Kamberi as well...

“We’re still in negotiations with Kamberi. We’ve held positive talks with him and his representative. We have an option that expires on June 14 but I’m pretty sure we’ll have a response before then.”

I did think about when our option would expire on the loan deal the other day. At least we should know relatively soon whether we’re getting him signed up or not.

Mind when Moyes went to Man Utd?

He knew Fellaini had a release clause in his contract, waited for it to expire, and then signed him for more money.

    Let’s not do that!

I would imagine as soon as that deal expires on the 14th, he becomes unaffordable to us.

Not Hibs related but Skrtel's agent saying his move to Sevco won't happen as they can't afford the 5-6m euros his club want and they are offering him wages 4-5 times less than he's currently on!

Yep think it's now clear if he doesn't sign for us by then it's unlikely he will after that So at least Club can then act and bring someone else in instead of this dragging on

    No surprise.

It amazes me people give any transfer rumours regarding rangers credibility at the moment, especially in red top papers. The majority are to sell papers/online views to the gullable rangers minded.

    Rangers are skint.

Disappointing to hear the Rangers are now being more rational about what they can afford.

Hoped they’d continue to blow huge money on old stars.

Surely not, we were told he'd be a 1st team regular at a championship or premiership club in England within 2 years of leaving us.

You have to be a lot braver to be a goalkeeper than he's ever shown at a decent standard, and probably a bit better too.

Disagree actually, as others have mentioned we already have Slivka and Allan who are both very attack minded midfielders. Also hopefully we can add Mallan to that list

Players that can play the deep lying playmaker role at the level that McGeouch does are a lot more rare IMO, especially in Scotland

Fyvie and Whittaker did it well for us at times but when they play sometimes it just shows how difficult it is to do it to a high standard

Hearts sign the Aussie left back:

Could be good business, decent market.

Hearts' signing have so far been utterly abysmal. As always, they're going for quantity, not quality.

Looks to me like hes getting dross in as early as possible, with plenty time to get them well drilled in his negative tactics to conmpensate for their probable lacj of quality.

Played for Antwerp and Swansea though. Done well for a guy who isn't very good.
