    Best Hibs 11 you watched

Following the thread on best Hibs players (Hibs fans) what about the best Hibs team with players you watched. I didn't see the famous five so here goes? I have named two teams as there are so many I've enjoyed watching. First team in 433 formation

    Goram

    Brownlie. Sauzee. Macnamee. Murphy

    Willie Hamilton. Stanton. Cropley

    Cormack. Baker. Martin

    2nd team 442

    Rough

    Bremner. Blackely. Black Shaedler

    Edwards. Brown. Collins. Stevenson

    McBride (snr). Gordon

Sure I have left out many other greats.

    This.

There will never be another matchday squad to rival this one.

Still makes me chuckle that he managed to become one of the 18 who will be idolised forever. Wonder if we'll remember much about him in 50 years?

Stepped in and done a job at Raith in the 4th round when JC was ill. Everyone in the squad played their part in winning the tournament including the likes of Kevin Thomson who missed out on the final 18.

Dagnall also played well in the League Cup semi at Tynecastle. Not the best player ever to play for Hibs but played his part and glad he seems to be doing well back down south.

I think we will. Everyone involved with Hibs in the 2015/16 season will be remembered for generation to come, especially those involved in the cup final matchday squad.

The best 11 I've seen play together, a privilege we used to follow them home and away and really did expect to win and were always entertained.

I went 4-2-3-1. Not based on the best ever players but ones I think would work as a team.

Was lucky to see this team many times in my early days following Hibs.

We have not come close to as good a team as this since and probably never will.

Only criticism of them would be that they should have won a lot more than they did, but that was probably down to a very good Celtic side at the time.

Pretty sure they would have won the league if Brownlie hadn't broken his leg. Great team to watch.

Agree, the bizarre decision to sell Jimmy orourke didn't help either in my opinion.

Keep him in mind incase you end up on pointless and are asked to name a player in the squad when hibs won the cup.

Definitely the best team that played together but if I have to choose my own line up I'd replace Herriott, Shades & Cilla with Goram, Murphy and Sauzee.

Tried to name a bench but got stuck on 10 players and gave up

Ditto. And what an utter joy of a team that was. Mind you, we must include Jim McArthur in goals too.

I believe they only played 22 times together and don't think they lost to Celtic. 72 SCF didn't have Cropley so doesn't count. May have been away legs to Sporting Lisbon and Hajduk Split were only losses and lead to Turnbull deciding he needed to strengthen the team. From start of season 1972-73 to East Fife game early Jan 73 Hibs won League Cup, went top of league on goal difference and got to QF of CWC. Don't think TT played together again after Brownlie broke his leg.

I think the problem was lack of strength in depth. 12th man in TT was John Hazel.

My big brother's team. My dad's as well but he had also had the fortune to see the famous five et al. Unfortunately for me I just caught the tail end of Turnbulls Tornadoes but hey ho.

However I picked up a copy of Ted Bracks The Game On New Years Day 0-7 with the foreword by Jimmy O'Rourke today and it looks a cracker so going to enjoy reading it over the next few days or so.

Also picked up a beer glass with the old badge on it with the crown football and laurels in a charity shop. Looks the real deal with old style type glass and handle and is in great nick.
