There used to be a big group of Betis fans, mostly students, who met in a bar in Tollcross. The name escapes me but it's on the same side of the road as the King's Theatre, on the corner. Maybe that is what he is referring to.
Edit - it's the Cuckoo's Nest I was thinking off. That was a few years ago though and reading above it looks like they may have moved on (or there are 2 groups).

Interesting. That incomplete South end written about was a sheer drop from the side of the seats as I recall. 1972......that is some wait. Good on them for doing it.
