    Hibs players at World Cups

How many players whilst Hibernian players have played at a World Cup?

I can think of Ulises de la Cruz in 2002, John Blackley in 1974 and Eddie Turnbull in 1958.

    Any more?

Eddie Turnbull was picked by journalists for the team of the tournament prior to the knock out stage.

He wasn't even that good! Was there not a rumour we'd signed the wrong player?

To add to the Mark Caughey story he was introduce along with four other be signings, I think Stuart Beedie, maybe Willie Irvine and a couple of others whose names escape me as Hibernians new famous five! Sure I've still got the newspaper cutting and photo somewhere!!

I went to see Scotland v Brazil in 1990 with Roy Barry.

    Does that count?

Does Jamie McLaren actually count? I'm assuming his loan deal expired at the end of May so he's not going to the world cup as a Hibs player
