I need to make a payment shortly via crypto. Just wondering if anyone would recommend the best/safest to use?

You need to tell us what you’re buying with crypto surely?

I once sent funds to my own account but I was sending ETH and it transpired I sent to to an ETH equivalent but on another network - Polygon or something
Silly but you lose everything if you send it on wrong network or just get one digit wrong
With normal banking such a mistake would usually mean the money getting bounced back to you
Ultimately it may be best to ask the recipient
I use Uniswap for most ETH transactions but Coinbase is big and as relatively safe as you can get
Take care though
