Thread: Who do we want?

    Who do we want?

Todays result confirmed our participation in something we all look forward to. It doesn't happen often, but next season, we'll be there.

It truly is a just reward for all our efforts this season. New stadiums, long trips, the chance at glory.

So, who do you want in the league cup group stages?

    I'd go for

Dunfermline (A) - always a good trip, hopefully a sunny day
Spartans (H) - An easy home win
Stranraer (A) - bit of a stinker of a trip, but I've never been there.
Falkirk (H) - Another easy home win

None of these are easy home wins. We ****ed the league cup 2 years ago and we are no better now

I reckon even Montgomery could muster 9 points from games of 11 v 1.

    Derek Mcinnes
    Tony Docherty
    Ronny Deila
    Alex Neill

Doubt 3 of them would take it however.

Edit - apologies, never read the original post 🤣

Dunno mate, if Montgomery stays and we end up in a group with McInnes, Docherty and Deila we might just make it through.

Is it not still geographically split?

We'd not get Stranraer going on recent league Cup groups.

You've not missed anything anyway. Think the last time we were there Sauzee and Co were playing

Remember drawing 0-0 there in a cup tie, sure Laursen missed a sitter that day. The fish and chips was decent though.

    Sauzee was gaffer iirc.

We won the replay 4-0. A rarely seen Hurtado goal was even spotted.

Aye that's the one. Funny how things from so long ago are so clear but can't mind what I done last week

Don't think so. We had Morton last time.

    It used to be.

Fish and chips on the way home in Ayr. But what is that weird stuff they call "red sauce"? Wasn't even proper ketchup. Weirdos 😂

Lauren did miss a sitter. Wee wall round the pitch and portaloo heaven.

I think it was O'Connor that missed a great chance, might've been his debut. I stayed over on the Saturday night after winning a few quid, cracking weekend. IIRC there's was a fair bit of trouble at Cardiff v Leeds the following day.

    Mciness
    Robinson
    Docherty
    Kettlewell
    McCabe
    Murray,

In that order, no more pishing about with experiments.
I'd even give the Dundee pitch a management role in place of the current incumbent.

I think GO'C made his debut at Dens. I was there it was a glorious sunny day which is unusual for Dens!

I'd love to get stranraer. That's a quick wee hop over the water on the ferry from Belfast!
