    Team for Saturday

    Presuming Dundee lose midweek and we are still in the hunt;

Marshall (only because I don't trust Wollacott)

    Cadden
    Fish
    Hanlon
    Obita

    NMW
    Triantis
    Emiliano

    Youan
    ALF
    Maolida.

Boyle and Newall dropped for Elie and NMW. Hanlon in because I trust him more than the rest.

    Thoughts?

I think we know Newell won't be dropped and rightly so. One bad game doesn't make him a bad player, and NWM is completely different to him. If he's coming in, Triantis goes out IMO.

I can see Boyle being benched though.

He is completely different and that's the point. We need a more dynamic midfield.

Definitely clocked up enough yellow cards...debate seems to be when he serves the suspension 🤔

The manager will not bring in Hanlon and will not drop Newell.

NMW has to start along with Elie.

    Marsh

Cadden Fish or Triantis Rocky Obita

    NMW Newell
    EMI
    Youan ALF MM

I’m do however suspect if he plays Fish Triantis will move into midfield and NWH energy and drive will be dropped to bench

I love Boyle but Elie did not deserve to be dropped last game.

Also would surprise me if he drops ALF for Boyle or Elie. Cannot second guess the coaching team.

I do know this though we will need to score as we will not keep a clean sheet.

I think its pretty clear that he won't play Hanlon. If it does it would make me think that someone else in the club has pretty much instructed him to do it.

Newell won't get dropped. Midfield will and should be MW, JN, EM. With Josh Campbell coming on for any of them during the game.

I didn't have an issue with Boyle on Saturday. We just didn't use him and pass the ball to him. Another problem with not having a Left sided CB. The pass was on constantly and only Joe Newell did it once. Rocky doesnt even look in that direction.

Unfortunately I think we're now grasping at straws trying to conjure up a team that can get us into the top six. It comes down to mentality as much as anything and we showed on Saturday we're simply not strong enough to cope with what was a must-win game against not exactly intimidating opponents.

I think we need Rocky in just to compete with that tank Bair in the Motherwell front line.

That did cross my mind. If Rocky plays it has to be on the right.

He’s had 3 League yellows since the restart in Jan

Agree don't think it makes a blind bit of difference who plays, the whole bunch lack the mental strength that's needed to win games week in week out.

Just winning this one would do for now.

    Marshall

    Cadden
    Fish
    Hanlon/Rocky
    Obita

    Levitt
    NMW
    Emiliano

    Youan
    ALF
    Maolida.

We need to go for it.
None of this defender in midfield nonsense Can't be hoping that Aberdeen will do us a favour.

    Marshall. ( Captain).

    Cadden
    Fish
    Rocky.
    Obita .

    Triantis.
    NMW .
    Marcondes.

    Boyle.
    Maolida.
    Youan.

Purely for his display against St Johnstone and costing us the first goal I'd drop Newell.

Can't believe people are still picking Triantis. He's hopeless wherever we play him. A decent 45 minutes against Livingston doesn't make him a competent midfielder.

    My team would be:

    Marshall

    Cadden
    Fish
    Hanlon
    Obita

    Moriah Welsh
    Marcondes
    Newell

    Youan
    Le Fondre
    Maolida

Don’t see any chance that Hanlon plays though

The team I'd pick as well.

Fish is the one who should drop out.

The biggest underperformer is ultimately Marcondes. He comes with the reputation and price tag and has the talent undoubtedly but has rarely delivered anything impactful (goals, assists, incisive passes) in last few games.

Another player who thinks it’s a easy league to play in he’s not interested half the time

After a good start you get the impression he's just marking time till the end of the season and he can get away.

First half in particular, the ball constantly went up the left, usually from Rocky to Obita, who then gave it to Maolida.

    Team for Saturday

    Marshall

    Miller Rocky, Hanlon, Obita

    Cadden Moriah-Welsh Newell

    Youan Moalida Boyle

I think you've missed my point. The ball was out to the right to Boyle. A left footed player sees that and plays it more. Hence why Newell did it when dropped in once to take the ball off Marsh.

Really don’t want to see Rocky under this current style of play, looks massively uncomfortable on the ball

I probably did. I assumed the direction of play first half was down to our game plan and deliberate. Boyle did get more service 2nd half tbf.
