I think the ref will do away with kick-off and just start the game from the penalty spot. Tavernier to get things underway by slotting one home.

It will be interesting to see if daring to complain about Rangers fans makes the refereeing even more blatantly one-sided today.
I'm expecting something a bit different just to shake things up a little, like giving a red card with the penalty even though that rule has been functionally done away with.

They’ll need more than one free-hit penalty today. Feel another Ibrox Hibs treble is in the air today.
Penalty award within 10 minutes of our opener. Whether they try and get away with a second remains to be seen. A phantom red probably the more likely in such circumstances.
10 man Hibs hang in to see out a 3-2 victory after a fraught 12 minutes of injury time.

Started this thread as it seems to always happen and their decisions analysed to the nth degree. Says a lot about our opinions of the referees in this country and the standards. When I first started going to games in the 60s and 70s if you went ahead in the game against any of the old firm you knew there was going to be a dive in the box or any touch on a player in the box they would be screaming for a penalty. The Rangers right back has from memory scored 65 goals from the penalty spot and has missed a few, bet he reaches 70 by the end of the season.

If it’s 0-0 with 20 mins gone, I’ll say 28 minutes

When it becomes clear that Rangers need it.
If we score first and are holding on comfortably it will be 15 minutes after we score. Of course this only applies if we have scored in the first 25 minutes. If it’s still nil nil after 25 minutes and we are not looking like conceding then that’s when they will get the penalty.

Tricky. They'll want to get it in early to settle things down but then there's also been a lot of attention to VAR and ref decisions lately so they want want to go too obviously quick.
I'd say they'll try to do the penalty about 5 or 10 minutes before half time or very early in the second half if an opportunity doesn't present itself late in the first half. To compensate for having to hold the penalty back I'm expecting a minimum of two early yellows against key players for us so that we're having to walk on eggshells defensively. Probably Rocky and Obita.
If we somehow get to 65 to 70 minutes level then a red card will be triggered at that point.
