Lawrie Reilly with it^
Couldn’t find anything about it, when it was worn and what not
Same goes for the badge as well
Not seen any records of it.
If anyone knows more about it, it would be great to know
Thanks again

Toffs sell a few tops with the same badge on their website.

As Steve mentioned its a badge thats been used by Toffs.
My understanding is that it is a crest that was used on a salver or something like that in our very earliest days to represent the club. It wasn't ever an official badge.
Given our history the Harp and Shamrock are self explanatory while the dog is an Irish wolfhound and I was told that the obelisk is to represent an obelisk in County Armagh celebrating St Patrick.
I might be being a slaver about the salver but thats what i was told.
The guys who sell unofficial merch on the corner of Albion Road sell a badge with that crest on it.Last edited by Brizo; 27-03-2024 at 08:11 AM.

Hard to see the badge clearly in those pics but it looks like a bit of a mess to me. Far too much going on. Glad it was never an official crest

I had one of these, feel of a rugby top but good quality. Got mine from Toffs.

I got a rugby style cotton strip for my birthday nearly 19 years ago which had this badge. I don't think I have seen anyone else wearing it. I don't particularly like it tho!

I'm sure I saw that sort of image scrawled everywhere during my high school days.

I got one as a present from my brother and still wear it occasionally. Always get folk asking about the badge and where the top came from, more out of curiousity, rather than them wanting one!

quite odd... but the most odd bit is 'Hibernian Football Club LIMITED' when has that ever been used prominently ?

I was going to settle for a panther sleeping at the bottom of a helter skelter.

[QUOTE=Kato;7622505]Have definitely seen it in a Hibs book with that explanation. Maybe not Lugton then. Am not at home for a while but will try and look it out through the week. It's a weird design for sure, the meanings of these things are sometimes lost...eg it might be an Irish Wolfhound rather than a greyhound.
Would be great to know

That kit must of been worn at some point, maybe just for a tour or something. As why would they give
Lawrie Reilly it?
